This Is Not a Drill, There Is Going to Be a ‘Parks and Recreation’ Reunion

The cast is going to reunite for a special coronavirus episode.

Leslie Knope is not letting this pandemic stop her, and she is ready to save the world. NBC announced that the cast is going to reunite for one special episode to raise money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. The cast members that will be part of the special are Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Retta, Rob Lowe, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari, and Jim O’Heir. There are also going to be mysterious special guests who have appeared on the show before.

This episode is going to center around the present-day pandemic. Leslie Knope is attempting to stay connected with her former Pawnee Parks Department coworkers, social distancing style. The episode was filmed entirely in each of their homes. Pratt, who plays Andy Dwyer, posted a video on Instagram and said in the caption “Many are saying it’s the greatest episode of television ever to be filmed in Quarantine. It’s not a competition. But if it was… we would easily win.”

 

The episode is going to raise money for Feeding America which set up the COVID-19 fund in March to help food banks across the country. State Farm and Subaru of America will each make matching donations of $150,000. The Parks and Recreation cast are also chipping in, bringing the overall total to $500,000 in matching donations through May 21.
