Youtube is hosting a free, 10-day-long online film festival in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

We Are One: A Global Film Festival is an online-only film festival featuring 20 partners. The event was organized after so many film festivals had to cancel or postpone their dates due to the pandemic. The event is being organized and produced by New York’s Tribeca Enterprises. It will feature programming from 20 top film festivals including Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, and more.

The event is going to take place from May 29 to June 7 and you can watch it on YouTube.com/WeAreOne. The festival is going to include feature films, shorts, documentaries, music, comedy, and panel discussions. A little bonus is that all of it will be ad-free for hours of non-stop entertainment, with viewers only being asked to make donations for COVID-19 relief. Currenlty, there is no schedule and no list of films that will be shown, but that information will reportedly be availabe in the next few weeks.

You can check out YouTube’s announement video, below.

This festival is not going to replace individual film festivals and organizers are still hopeful about having some sort of in-person event. Venice Film Festival organizers are planning to hold an in-person event on Sept. 2-12, 2020. The Toronto International Film Festival is usually held in September and they are playing with the idea of having a hybrid physical-digital program, if necessary.

Be sure to tune into the festival on YouTube on May 29.
