Tory Lanez Starts a New Fund to Aid Families Struggling Through the Pandemic
The fund will be a collaboration between The Dream City Project and the Dream Center.
Tory Lanez started an informal show titled Quarantine Radio on his Instagram to give people some entertainment while they are stuck in their homes. The show ended up becoming a viral success that Lanez wants to use to help struggling families. The artist is launching the Tory Lanez Dream City Fund for COVID-19 relief. It is a collaboration between The Dream City Project, which he founded with his father in 2012 to mentor the youth, and the Dream Center, a Los Angeles charity.
The Tory Lanez Dream City Fund will raise funds to provide essentials such as food to underserved families in Los Angeles and other communities nationwide. Lanez decided to kick things off by personally donating 50,000 diapers which Amazon Music is going to match.

“It’s very important for any artist to give back because at some point you were regular, too. At some point, you were a regular person just like everyone else,” Lanez told CNN, “I always tell artists people feel exactly how you (felt) when you were in that place.”
