Be Sure to Add These Books to Your Summer Reading List

Expect exciting follow-ups to best selling novels like Bird Box, Crazy Rich Asians, and the Hunger Games trilogy this summer.

As the COVID-19 pandemic persists, it seems we all are searching for new reads to pass our time.

This summer, Josh Malerman, author of Bird Box, plans to revisit Malorie, the main character, in a sequel 10 years after the original book was released.  Also, Carrie Fisher’s former assistant, Byron Lane, just published A Star is Bored, a fictionalized account of his history with the late Star Wars actress.

Darcy Bell, the author of A Simple Favor— which was adapted into the 2018 film of the same name, starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick— gives us a new domestic thriller, Something She’s Not Telling Us. Crazy Rich Asians‘ author Kevin Kwan is set to return with a new love story called Sex and Vanity that is bound to be just as extravagant and dramatic as the first one.

And finally, a book we have all been waiting for, Suzanne Collins takes us back to the world of Panem in a Hunger Games prequel set 64 years before the original novel. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will not be focusing on Katniss Everdeen but rather the villain Coriolanus Snow.

Make sure you stay on the lookout for these amazing titles this summer.
