In case you’ve never heard of the film, it is an upcoming X-Men horror thriller spin-off based on the same name as the Marvel Comics. It’s about “a group of young mutants who [are] being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.”

The movie was originally supposed to come out in Jan. of 2018, but experienced many set backs, delaying the date to Feb. 2019. Another issue came up which is how we ended up with the Aug. 28 date being announced.
It is also starring many big names, such as Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Alice Braga (City of God), Blu Hunt (The Originals and Another Life), and Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why). So, as you can see, this movie is about to be a really good one. Not to mention, the director is Josh Boone, who also directed The Fault in Our Stars.
The New Mutants will more than likely be available on Disney+ shortly after the release, but for now, you can set up your ticket alert at the Fandango Website.
