Stay Tuned for the Return of Hasan Minaj’s ‘Patriot Act’
Be on the lookout for the return of the popular Netflix show set to come out on May 17.
Patriot Act had wrapped its 32-episode season in December. In response to the show’s popularity, Netflix had green-lit seven new episodes that were originally set to premiere on March 29. That date, however, was pushed back once the coronavirus pandemic took over the U.S., forcing production to come to a halt.
But, never fear. The Netflix series is returning on Sunday, May 17, with an all-new virtual episode centered around a highly relevant topic: “What Happens If You Can’t Pay Rent?” Host Hasan Minhaj will film the episode, along with six others, from his home in front of a green screen.

Throughout the course of his show, Minhaj has made a point of taking on timely subjects, from the student loan debt crisis to immigration in the Trump era. The additional episodes will be led by Prashanth Venkataramanujam, a co-creator of the series, and a frequent collaborator of Minhaj’s.
With all of the turmoil surrounding 2020 thus far, fans of the show are ecstatically awaiting the show’s return:
