Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of ‘Oops!…. I Did It Again’ With Britney Spears
On May 16, 2000, Britney Spears released her iconic sophomore album, “Oops!…. I Did It Again.”
Britney Spears has become one of the most successful female artists, producing over 100 million records sold and five number one hits.”Oops!…. I Did It Again” was a massive advancement for Spear’s career and the music industry. The album debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number one. It also had a record-breaking first-week sales of $1.319 million.

According to Billboard, the album has now been certified diamond, which is difficult to obtain. The album comprised significant hits, including “Oops!…. I Did It Again,” “Stronger” and “Lucky.” In honor of her anniversary, Spear’s got on Twitter and joked around with NASA. Spear’s also made sure to thank her fans for years of love and support.

We also learned some new facts about the album, on its anniversary. It was revealed that during the shooting of “Oops!…. I Did It Again,” a camera fell on Spear’s. She got up and continued to shoot the scene. In addition to this, fans learned that Spear’s ordered the iconic red latex jumpsuit herself. Due to the 20th anniversary, there are exclusive clear vinyl’s and cassette tapes with purple and gold splatters available at Urban Outfitters.
