The gorgeous Dakota Johnson takes the cover of Marie Claire’s summer 2020 issue.

The actress struck a pose for the newest issue of Marie Claire and we love it. The photoshoot took place in February in Los Angeles, before the Coronavirus was declared a pandemic. Johnson admits she is worried about the pandemic and discusses her mental health. She says “I’m constantly thinking about the state of the world right now. It keeps me up at night, all night, every night.” Johnson openly reveals she was struggling with depression when she was a teenager and is candid about her experience, now. “I have to do a lot of work to purge thoughts and emotions, and I am in a lot of therapy.”

Remember, May is about mental health awareness. Seeing people like Dakota Johnson opening up about their issues with mental health can make us feel better about opening up about ours. We should not be ashamed, mental health issues can effect anyone, and seeking help is good.

Then she goes on about her new projects such as directing Coldplay’s music video for Cry, Cry, Cry. “I wrote the story and pitched it to the band like every other director did, and they chose mine—not because they’re partial to me at all,” she said, laughing. Johnson has been dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for about three years, now. She also stars in The High Note, a musical comedy which premieres on Friday, May 29.

Johnson is proving herself to be so much more than just an actress. Snag a copy of this issue and be sure to check out the projects she has in the works.
