Revel in the Details of Debby Ryan and Joshua Dun’s Clandestine Wedding
Debby Ryan and Joshua Dun bring fresh new meaning to 28 days later.
Actress Debby Ryan, 27, and drummer Joshua Dun, 31, planned their wedding in only 28 days. The couple had been engaged for a year before officially tying the knot on New Year’s Eve. Fan’s grew suspicious of the duo’s matrimony upon the release of Twenty One Pilots’ music video for their song “Level of Concern,” which dropped back in April.
Though the ceremony was kept under wraps, the newlyweds revealed all in a new interview with Vogue. The Insatiable star leaks the details: “We began to flirt with the idea of having a destination party celebrating the new decade, then decided in December to get married [in Austin] on New Year’s Eve, and just keep dancing until after the ball dropped.” Talk about New Year’s Resolution.
It has been confirmed by a recent Vogue interview with Debby Ryan that her and Josh got married on the 31st of December at their “New Years Eve Party.” A huge congratulations to the newly weds! Here are some photos from the article:

She’s beautiful, sophisticated, hilarious, irreverent, punk rock, witty, hard-working, ever-growing, supportive, strong, and perfect. And…I married her. New Year’s Eve was the best night of my life. I’ll love you forever Deborah Dun https://t.co/zIUWspcXAu pic.twitter.com/aZDepLSFqJ

The Disney alum shares that the passing of a close friend is what fueled their wedding date: “He was excited that Joshua and I were getting married, and I never doubted that I’d know him through every coming phase of our lives.” She further develops the specifics, “When he passed, it really rocked me and put a lot of things in perspective. It didn’t feel important to wait anymore, to stop being busy, or for things to line up perfectly—intending to do things is not nearly as powerful as doing, as we aren’t promised tomorrow.” Carpe diem at it’s best.
The groom was decked out in an emerald green Paul Smith velvet suit to complement his bride’s off-the-shoulder Elie Saab white gown. Va-va-voom.
Joshua relives the magic: “I felt like it was game night at our house, and this was the ultimate game, and boy did I win! I remember every detail from how it felt to be walking down the aisle, to the full-body chills I got watching Debby walk down toward me.” This sounds as dreamy as Debby’s knee-length veil.
