Help End Gun Violence and Cure Epilepsy in Honor of Cameron Boyce’s 21st Birthday
You can donate to help celebrate what would have been the 21st birthday of young actor Cameron Boyce.
On July 6, 2019, Cameron Boyce unexpectedly passed away after suffering an epileptic seizure. In honor of what would have been his 21st birthday this Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Cameron Boyce Foundation is aiming to raise $50,000 to help end gun violence and cure epilepsy. The Cameron Boyce Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was founded not long after Boyce’s tragic passing. Its purpose is to provide young individuals with creative and artistic alternatives to violence. The foundation also announced a birthday surprise to be revealed on Cameron’s special day as well.
Impressively, donations so far have totaled over $19,000. What’s even more assuring, is that the fundraiser will also go towards providing clean water on a global scale. Social media campaign Wielding Peace was one of Boyce’s final humanitarian projects created to help end gun violence. Supporters of the campaign make a statement by featuring themselves in photos holding different items as though they were holding a gun.
The beloved actor was most known for his roles in Disney’s Descendants and Jessie. One of Cameron’s Jessie co-stars, Karan Brar, who portrayed Ravi Ross, provides the link to the Cameron Boyce Foundation via his Twitter account bio. Brar even pinned a tweet from July 15, 2019, that announced the official launch of the organization.
