Naomi Osaka Emerges as Highest-Paid Female Athlete
It’s Wimble-DONE and dusted, the transcendent tennis genius Naomi Osaka has secured her spot as the highest-paid female athlete.
Let’s raise a racket for The Queen of the Court. Her Majesty has kicked some serious ace and earned her title as the highest-paid female athlete. No one can argue, baby got backhand. Not only does Osaka serve a killer kick serve, but she serves some serious looks on the court with her custom Nike outfits, poised presence, and pluck.

In 2018, Naomi Osaka became a household name after defeating the sensational Serena Williams in the U.S. Open. Between Osaka’s contract with Nike and numerous endorsements, Osaka has finally edged out her outstanding…otherworldly opponent, Serena, for the highly coveted position as a top female athletic earner. Forbes revealed that Osaka has earned $37.4 million between June 2019 and May 2020 and currently ranks as the 10th best tennis player in the world.
A run to remember.

Tennis trailblazer Osaka continues to strike her tennis matches and bring the heat. She plans to represent Japan in the upcoming 2021 Olympics, so it’s safe to say that the U.S. will not be bringing home a gold medal (even so, it would be an honor to lose to such a brilliant boss lady). Congratulations Osaka, for a well-deserved triumph; all the blood, sweat, and tears have definitely paid off.
I am a plucky Sophomore at Wesleyan University with a passion for writing, fashion, running, and extremely strong coffee—so strong that it would make a 6’5’’ WWE wrestler weep. I am a small person with a big personality, only intensified by the coffee, that seeps into both my bold street and writing style. I am currently based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area and am excited to work for such an empowering, female-focused publication. During this trying time in history it is more important than ever for women to continue lifting each other up and spreading positive energy!
