Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, have been relatively quiet for a while, but they’ve stepped out together for their new digital series, Mike and Carrie: God & Country.

The four-part miniseries showcases a peek into the couple’s lives through family, faith in God, Carrie’s country music stardom, and Mike’s post-NHL hockey career. In the trailer below, they talk about how they met, fell in love, even show off their baby pictures. The clip also shows their fertility struggles throughout the years. Although Carrie gave birth to their first son Isaiah in 2015, and their second son Jacob in 2019, the “Cry Pretty” singer sadly had three miscarriages in over a year, in between the boys’ births.

“I just had an honest conversation with God. I was hurt, and I told Him how I felt,”  she explains, on how those losses affected her relationship with God.

“Marriage is a giant mirror, and a magnifying glass too,” Mike adds. “We’ve had a ton of mountain tops, but not a lot of valleys like this.”

Fans of Carrie Underwood have expressed how their strong sense of faith has inspired them to get in touch with their own beliefs.

The series premieres on Wednesday, May 27 at 8/7c on iamsecond.com, with weekly episodes to follow until June 17. Watch the series trailer below.

We admire them for their vulnerability and opening up to the world.
