Some are considering this album a return to the artist’s dance-pop roots. Others claim that her lyrics are a reimagination of the style that made her an international phenomenon. In contrast to Joanne, which was visually simple and characterized with a folk-like sound, Chromatica is rich in visuals and boasts a collection of high-energy dance anthems. The album is similar to Lady Gaga’s early work like Born This Way. Fans are delighted to hear Gaga return to electro-pop, while also enjoying Gaga’s deeply personal songwriting.
