Check out How Selena Gomez’s Cosmetic Company Is Helping the Community

The cosmetic company that Selena Gomez founded is giving back to fans, healthcare workers, and the mental health community in more ways than one.

Even though Selena Gomez’s new business endeavor, Rare Beauty, has yet to hit shelves due to COVID-19, she and her team are still working tirelessly to bring content and positivity to the lives of her fans, makeup users, and social media followers.

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez is a beauty company that Selena started this year to “shape conversation from beauty, self-acceptance, and mental health.” It will feature various products, including 48 shades of foundation and concealer – of which she is wearing in the above selfie!

Their mission is not only to bring makeup to Sephora stores, but to grow the brand as an organization that gives people support, offers services needed regarding community events and mental health, and connects people to one another.

On Thursday, the Rare Beauty team donated 10,000 much-needed masks to frontline workers at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California.

Additionally, just last week Selena Gomez spoke to the National Alliance of Mental Illness CEO, Dan Gillison, to answer questions surrounding mental health struggles during this time and offered resources that can be utilized during periods of self-doubt and crisis.

May is Mental Health Awareness month and Rare Beauty did what they could mid-pandemic to be there for people facing all kinds of challenges. They are surely sticking to their word when it comes to being more than just an outlet for external personal care, but for internal, as well.
