Taylor Swift Calls President Trump out: ‘We Will Vote You out in November’
America’s sweetheart turns iron tough taking a stand against the President’s distasteful tweet following the protests and riots.
On May 29, 2020, Taylor Swift made it known that she is not turning a blind eye to President Donald Trump’s tweet regarding protesters in Minnesota following the death of George Floyd. ‘These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!’ Trump tweets. Swift tweets back in a gallant response:
After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump

The country singer stated that she would do everything she could to see that Trump will not be reelected.
Trump’s tweet, along with the official account for the White House that shared the tweet, caused Twitter to place a public interest notice on both the original and shared tweets, stating it “violated the Twitter rules about glorifying violence. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest in the tweet to remain accessible.”
The decision for the notice was yet another log thrown into the fiery feud between the social media platform and Trump. Ever since Twitter fact-checked two of Trump’s recent tweets he became infuriated signing an executive order to remove a number of the legal protections provided to social media platforms. Despite Trump’s outraged attacks, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey reaffirmed the company will remain committed to fact-checking information related to elections.
