Anastasia Beverly Hills Pledges to Donate $1 Million Towards the Fight Against Systemic Racism
Anastasia Beverly Hills stands in solidarity with the Black community, and it has already donated $100,000 across the following organizations: The Marshall Project, Black Visions Collective, The Innocence Project, the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, and Black Lives Matter.
Anastasia Beverly Hills will also soon announce how it will distribute the rest of the $900,000, which it pledged to donate to battle police brutality and racial injustice.
On May 31st, in honor of George Floyd, Anastasia Beverly Hills announced on its Instagram page that it has donated to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. On June 2nd, Anastasia Beverly posted a black square to show that its company and employees stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter. On Instagram, Black Out Tuesday allowed people and organizations who support Black Lives Matter to post a black square on their Instagram page to show support.
To increase the visibility of activists who spread important information on Instagram concerning the issue, Anastasia Beverly Hills did not use any accompanying hashtags to give others a voice.
Today and every day, we support Black Lives Matter. We urge you to use your social platforms to make a positive and long-awaited change in our society that must eradicate racism once and for all.
I am an incoming junior at the UCLA College of Letters and Science. Through my love and appreciation for literature, social justice, feminism, public speaking, and writing, I am planning on pursuing a career in immigration and public interest law. I want to help those who are either the victims of the system or discrimination because I wholeheartedly believe that the purpose of my life is to help others and take cases that nobody else is willing to take.
