See how Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is planning to make things right by the Riverdale star.

Vanessa Morgan is being silent no more.

The Riverdale actress recently took to Twitter to speak out against the show’s writers, believing they were using her character Tony Topaz “as side kick non dimensional characters to our white leads.”

Her powerful message sparked the hashtag “#hearvanessamorgan,” which reached its peak trending at number 29 worldwide. An hour after Morgan posted a screenshot of the trending hashtag to her Twitter, thanking her fans for their support, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa took to Instagram with a message for Vanessa:

Aguirre-Sacasa also posted the message on his Twitter, which Morgan then retweeted.

Since speaking out about the racially-motivated discrepancy between her character’s importance and that of the rest of the Riverdale cast, Morgan has made other vows to support the Black community. She has stated her commitment to no longer take roles that do not properly represent Black people and will only be wearing clothes made by Black designers at red carpets and other public events.

We are so proud to see Vanessa taking a stand, and we will continue to show her much love and support throughout her career.
