YouTube CEO, Susan Wojcicki, announces its pledge to donate a multi-year $100 million fund to help support Black creators on the video platform.

YouTube has previously experienced hate and harassment on the site, but their steps to fix the problem are not enough. The video platform knows that more work needs to be done in order to ensure that Black creators feel safe and have the freedom to share their videos without receiving white supremacist and bullying content.

Wojcicki and the YouTube staff are listening to the concerns of its creators and know that they need to do more to help out their Black community.

With the help from this $100 million fund, their first project will be titled Bear Witness, Take Action. Hosted by Keke Palmer and Common, this 90-minute special will feature creators, artists, activists and musical performances. Donations will be gathered as well to help benefit the Equal Justice Initiative.
