Kaia Gerber’s Book Club Educates on Racial Injustice
Kaia Gerber is proving that beauty is just as important on the inside.
The fashion model, Kai Gerber, may walk the runways in the name of fashion; however, she is letting the world know her beauty isn’t just skin deep. The 18-year-old is also known for her book club and has been promoting educational must-reads on racial injustice.
The star has been taking to social media to keep fans in her literature loop. She posted to her Instagram June 11, 2020, that the following book club would be lead by writer Glory Edim, founder of Well-Read Black Girl, a book club exclusively for Black women. “I am so inspired by Glory’s work in reiterating the importance of having diverse voices present in literature, she’ll be talking about the book and her book club that supports black writers, women, and non-binary writers,” reads part of the post caption.
Gerber has been supporting the Black Lives Matter movement in various other social media posts making her activism known.

The star recently posted a stack of books circulating racial injustices including I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates to name a few.
