See How Joey King Is Supporting All Black Lives Matter

Actress Joey King marched in Los Angeles this past weekend in the All Black Lives Matter march that shines light on the fight for racial equality and LGBTQ+ acceptance.

All Black Lives Matter is the intersection between the Black Lives Matter movement, something much of the country has faced head-on recently, and gay pride, as June is Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community.

Joey took to Instagram to share photos and videos from her experience marching in LA and how inspired she felt being part of it all.

To see that many people in one place fighting for what we believe in with such conviction while also finding the spirit in them to dance and have fun. Truly just wow. I feel honored to have been able to march alongside the incredible people of the Black community and the LGBTQIA+ community,” she included in her Instagram caption.

Joey carried a homemade anti-police brutality sign that read “Who do you call when the murderer wears a badge?”

She marched alongside her sister, actress Hunter King, who held up a sign that said “No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.”

On Friday, June 12, Joey also posted a photo on her social platforms that outlined just a handful of reasons as to why pride is needed, which included the phrase “It’s never been illegal to be straight.”

She has actively been supporting Black Lives Matter, as well, reposting videos and resources to educate on racial justice and anti-racism.

Joey wrote a message on Twitter on May 31, as well, urging her followers to not be part of the problem and to fight for what they think is right regarding racism and privilege.

The actress also removed her Instagram bio completely that had been promoting the upcoming release of her movie, The Kissing Booth 2, and changed it to “Click the link to donate wherever you please and sign as many petitions as you can,” with a link Black Lives Matter’s informational website.

We can’t help but love how Joey is using her platform and her diligent, public, and widespread support of both Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ pride.
