Kristen Stewart Embraces Royal Life in New Role as Princess Diana
From vampire to spy and now princess, Kristen Stewart has proven her versatility as an actress following the announcement that she’ll be starring as Princess Diana in the new biopic Spencer.
The film will follow Princess Diana’s later life, focusing on her decision to end her marriage to Prince Charles and leave royal life behind. The story will reportedly span three days and immerse viewers into the plush scenery of the House of Windsor, located on the queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.

Production is due to start in 2021 and will be helmed by director Pablo Larraín, the mind behind the award-winning film Jackie. Speaking about the casting, Larraín explained why he thinks Kristen is perfect for the role. He cited her ability to be delicate as well as strong and fierce. Larraín said he expects Kristen’s portrayal to be powerful.
