See What Lady Gaga Gave to a Fan Who Had Complimented Her
Lady Gaga removed her leather jacket and gifted it to a fan who had just complimented the star on it.
Shannon McKee is a 27-year-old Malibu native meaning the sight of a celebrity doesn’t leave her feeling too star-struck. When McKee saw singer and actress, Lady Gaga, at the local market, she decided she had to compliment her on the leather jacket she was wearing.
McKee tells TODAY, “I walked in and I was like, ‘Hey, that’s a really bad a– jacket you got on.” Gaga expressed her thanks to the fan, but McKee claims she didn’t quite recognize the woman’s voice. Feeling the need to say more, McKee later said, “‘Hey, you’re Lady Gaga, right?’ My best friend back in high school was a huge fan of yours. And you’re the reason he actually came out to me. And his first five tattoos are all dedicated to you and my brother just recently came out to me, too, so I just wanted to say thank you for being such an incredible ally.'”
Gaga urged McKee to tell her friend that she loves him. Instead of snapping a picture together, Gaga removed the jacket she was just complimented on and handed it to her fan.
“‘You loved my jacket so much. Here. It’s yours. Put it on right now. You be bad a– with it now,'” Gaga told her.
Gaga has always been a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. In 2019, the singer delivered a speech to celebrate the 1969 Stonewall riot’s 50th anniversary. In her speech, she told the crowd, “This is your freedom. This is your joy that you have deserved always. I will not stop in pursuit of this liberation.”
