The world is set to get a little darker in the next season of Stranger Things as David Harbour teases what to expect from his character.

David Harbour opened up about his character, saying how the show will delve into Hopper’s past to “reconnect” with Hopper’s dead daughter, Sarah. They will explore “the fact that the only villain in a sense was Hopper because she had cancer. There was no bad guy.”
He went on to promise a darker tone to this season. While “There’s monsters, there’s horrors, there’s scares”, we’ll also see his character “painted in a bit of a darker palette” as we “get to see some of Hopper’s really deep backstory.” He also expressed his excitement to “let people see these really deep colors in him. Each season we see a different side of him.”
Recently, the months the shows creator’s- the Duffer brothers- have been updating fans on the shows progress by sharing pictures of completed scripts and treating audiences to table reads in March.
Filming for the fourth season was only three weeks into action before it was halted due to the coronavirus. But even with production on hiatus and no set release date, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for the next installment of 80’s Sci-Fi action.
