The Wait Is Finally Over: Bright Eyes Officially Announce the Release of Their Upcoming Album
After a nearly ten year hiatus, Bright Eyes has announced that their new album will be released on August 21, via Dead Oceans.
The iconic band’s upcoming record, Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was, was officially announced this past Monday.
Since January, Bright Eyes’ fans have been treated to three new tracks, including “Persona Non Grata,” “Forced Convalescence,” and “One and Done.” Although these teasers for the new album were all sublime, fans anxiously awaited the details of their favorite band’s impending record.

The official announcement of Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was comes in tandem with the release of Bright Eyes’ latest single, “Mariana Trench.” The single exemplifies all of the things that fans love about Bright Eyes’ music, from its eclectic sound to the confessionalist poetry of its lyrics. Moreover, the single is accompanied by a stunning music video, which was animated by Art Camp.
