Nicki Minaj Hints at Potential New Album, ‘Pink Friday 2’ on Twitter

Nicki Minaj left her fanbase on the edge of their seats after she tweeted “PF2” on Monday, June 29th.

Fans jumped to the comment section, speculating that this tweet was meant to hint at a future release of the long-awaited sequel  “Pink Friday 2.”

Moments before this teaser, she tweeted the word: “MEMORIES.”  This was yet another tweet dissected in the comments, adding to assumptions that it could potentially be the name of a future lead single.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Pink Friday‘s debut. Nicki’s Pink Friday was released on November 22, 2010, and debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200. The RIAA certified the album as 3x platinum, and it was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammy’s.

Pink Friday was famous for its eight singles such as “Moment for Life”, “Right thru me”, “Your love”, “Super Bass” and more. These singles helped the album achieve such success. However, some of the album’s top hits did not only feature Nicki. Some big names making an appearance on the album include Drake, Natasha BedingfieldKanye West, Rihanna, and will.i.am.

Nicki dropped her last album “Queen” in 2018, but she has continued blessing her devoted fandom, the Barbz, with multiple singles. Recently, Nicki and rapper 6ix9ine hit the top of the charts with single “Trollz.” Nicki now holds the title of “first female rapper to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 this century.
