Matt James and Tyler Cameron Share Their Excitement for the Upcoming Season on the Bachelor Nation YouTube Channel
It’s been a little less than a month since the announcement of the first black lead for The Bachelor, and Matt James says he’s ready to open the world up to more diverse relationships.
Matt James is excited to give fans of The Bachelor a better look at diverse relationships.
James, his friend Tyler, and the show’s host Chris Harrison discussed the upcoming season over video call. “I’ve heard from a lot of my black friends that aren’t Bachelor Nation faithful that are excited about me and honored by the position I’m in.” James indicated that this would be the first time the shows viewers get to witness “diverse relationships.”
“I couldn’t be more excited about that,” James said.
According to James, his “phone has been off the hook” from people reaching out to congratulate him on the new role, his third-grade teacher included. “Most interesting text I got was probably from my third-grade teacher. I hadn’t heard from her since I missed my book report. So, there’s people coming from all over the place to share their excitement. And it’s been nice,” said James.
Cameron tells viewers that the girl for James is “someone that’s ready to get on the ground with Matt and change the world ’cause that’s what Matt’s gonna do.”
James has been actively using his social media platforms to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Earlier in June, James posted a photo of him along with a few fellow Black men, stating, “I see change makers, what do you see..”
Season 25 of The Bachelor is scheduled to air in 2021.
