Amidst the past three and a half months of COVID-induced quarantine, many celebrities have spoken out about their self-care.

Parallel discussions have emerged regarding mental health coping strategies during isolation. Many stars have spoken about their personal difficulties. Most recently, Priyanka Chopra has discussed how she’s dealt with the pain of being so far away from her family.

Chopra detailed her feelings concerning the quarantine in a recent interview with British Vogue. Although Chopra has enjoyed bonding with her husband Nick Jonas in their Los Angeles home, she misses her mother and brother terribly (both of whom currently reside in India).

Chopra has tried to remain positive in spite of her homesickness and the anxiety that she’s consequently felt. Productivity has been key for the actress’s mental health; she’s invested much of her energy into writing a book, developing media content, and even learning the piano. While discussing her boom of productivity, Chopra explained, “Creativity has always been an outlet for me to relieve anxiety.”

The fruits of Chopra’s labors are already becoming clear, as Chopra signed a deal with Amazon, which will make way for new shows emphasizing South Asian diversity.

We are glad that Chopra has found solace in creativity and hope that she will inspire others to do the same.
