On Thursday, July 2, Ashley Tisdale celebrated her birthday. The singer and actress turned 35 and some of her greatest friends, past costars, and biggest fans took to social media to wish her the best.

Although many of the posts and messages were sweet, it was Vanessa Hudgens who had everyone, including Ashley, feeling quite emotional.

“We met on a commercial audition and our friendship took off. Next to high school musical, touring the world, shopping A LOT, to basketball games and a lot of roses. Now in our adulthood we are busy helping each other decorate and renovate our houses,” Vanessa wrote in her caption.

The world may have grown up with these two talented performers, but they have also grown up right alongside each other.
