It’s Time for You to Jam Out to The Driver Era’s New Track ‘Take Me Away’
The Driver Era just released their new single “Take Me Away,” and it’s definitely their grooviest and moodiest song to date.
Ross and Rocky Lynch may have only started releasing music as The Driver Era in 2018, but they already have almost 30 songs to their name.
Their latest, “Take Me Away,” dropped at midnight on July 10 and fans already can’t get enough of its crunchy drum beats and smooth guitar riffs layered underneath Ross’ vocals and Rocky’s production.
“Take Me Away” has a vintage sound to it and pushes The Driver Era’s boundaries even further, touching on the 1980s-based techno style of music, but still having a modern, alternative feeling that resonates throughout the three and a half minute track.
This new release was written, composed and produced fully by both Ross and Rocky, with the brothers also providing all the vocals and playing every instrument on the track.

“Take Me Away” is also rumored to be part of the band’s upcoming second album, which is supposed to debut later this summer.
This song comes after their double release of “OMG Plz Don’t Come Around” and “flashdrive” in April, which also showed the brothers venturing into a bouncy, new wave sound that puts a focus on the production element of these songs.
The Driver Era is always one step ahead of the trends, releasing fresh songs every few months for fans who stream them like there’s no tomorrow (because they really are just that good). Be sure to check out their newest single, “Take Me Away,” on your streaming platform of choice.
