On Friday, June 10, Kid Cudi and Eminem dropped their first collaboration The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady, which references George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, police brutality, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lyric video for The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady features Kid Cudi and Eminem as animated characters.

Eminem begins his first verse by discussing COVID-19 and dissing those who are against wearing masks.

“Half of us walking around like a zombie apocalypse/ Other half are just pissed off and (yeah)/ Don’t wanna wear a mask and they’re just scoffing/And that’s how you end up catching the sh**t off ’em/I just used the same basket as you shopping/Now I’m in a f*****’ casket from you coughin’ (Damn),” he raps.

Eminem ends his verse by paying tribute to George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, both victims of police brutality.

“Prayers to George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery (Yeah)/How the f*** is it that so many cops are dirty? (Huh)/ Stop, man, please, officer, I’m sorry/But I can’t breathe when I got you on top of me/ Your god**** knee’s on my carotid artery (F***),” Eminem raps.

Kid Cudi X Eminem surprised us all with their first-ever joint release but the majority of their fans seem to be thrilled with this duo.

The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady is available through all streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
