Demi Lovato Launches Wardrobe Auction Benefiting a Medley of Social Justice Initiatives

The sensational singer, and notable fashion icon, has recently announced that she will be hosting a philanthropic wardrobe auction, with all proceeds going toward Black Lives Matter and COVID-19 relief efforts.

On July 7, Lovato appealed to her impressive band of loyal followers via an Instagram post. She underscored the pressing need to rise to action and play a meaningful role in this ongoing racial justice campaign. She revealed, “…I am SO STOKED to announce that I’m partnering with Propeller to auction off a collection of items that have meant SO much to me including ones that have been pulled directly from my closet as well as some of my photography.” This legendary, activism-inspired auction is set to run through August 13 and Lovato’s fans cannot contain their excitement.

Lovato has announced a few items that will be featured in this iconic auction: trendy thigh-high boots from her hit music video “Sorry Not Sorry” and a first-class, flashy jacket that she wore during a concert. Propeller plans to announce more items in the upcoming weeks.

In a video announcing this new endeavor, Lovato commented, “I am both heartbroken and inspired by recent events in our country, and I won’t be silent or stand still..Join me in taking action for racial justice, COVID-19 relief, and getting ready to vote, because we need change more than ever before.” This fashion auction is designed to inspire activism, to encourage fans to emerge as leading allies and agents for change. Participants can earn extra bidding points by participating in social justice initiatives (signing petitions for Breonna Taylor, contributing to Black Lives Matter, and pledging to vote in upcoming elections). The more actions you complete, the more points you earn — giving you the competitive edge you need to score those killer thigh-high boots.
