The Cast of ‘Glee’ Show Their Love and Respect for Naya Rivera After News of Her Passing
After Naya Rivera’s death was confirmed, her fellow Glee castmates honored her life through shared stories and memories.
Rivera has been acting since she was in diapers. As a baby, she landed a role in a K-Mart commercial. She took on a more serious role when she was four years old and played Hillary Winston in The Royal Family sitcom. Since then, River has acted in a plethora of shows including The Bernie Mac Show, Devious Maids, Step Up, and what most of us know her for, Glee.

Once her death was confirmed, Naya’s fans along with castmates showed their respect for her by posting kind words and honoring her life as an actress, singer, friend, and mother.
Castmate Daren Chris, who played Blaine Anderson on Glee, created a thread on twitter. In the thread he expresses how enthusiastic and funny Rivera was, always bringing a smile to everyone’s face along with being a boss.
She was bold. She was outrageous. She was a LOT of fun.
Naya made me laugh like no one else on that set. I always said it while we were working together and I’ve maintained it ever since. Her playful, wicked sense of humor never ceased to bring a smile to my face.

Kevin McHale shared in a thread on Twitter that Naya was with him seven years ago when they found out their fellow Glee star, Cory Monteith, passed away. He informs fans how independent and strong Rivera was, and how incredibly thankful he is to have met such a wonderful person.

On Instagram, Chris Colfer posted a throwback picture of Rivera and him with a caption expressing the light she was to the entire world. He ends it by sending his love to all her friends and family.
Jane Lynch also took to Twitter to pay her respects to her former castmate and wish her family well.
