In a partnership with NAACP, Beyoncé has announced awarding $10,000 grants to small Black-owned businesses.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and Beyoncé have created a fund that will help small Black-owned businesses who have suffered financial hardships. NAACP stated, “Over the last couple of months, the pandemic and outpours for justice throughout the Black community and across the country have been felt in every imaginable area of our lives, including in how our local businesses continue to operate.”

BeyGood was founded by Beyoncé to encourage others to be kind to each other all around the world. Since its creation in 2013, the foundation is working with countries from all continents to help communities. Earlier in April, the foundation has donated $6 million to communities in need during the coronavirus outbreak.

Beyoncé has shown her support during the pandemic as well as amid the racial intensity to the communities who needed it the most. Her generous heart speaks for itself and should inspire all of us to give back when we can.

If you wish to be a part of this fund, this is what you need to know: applicants must be from Houston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, or Minneapolis, and have until July 18th to apply on Beyoncé’s website. Then, if applicants are selected, they will be notified by the end of the month.

Thank you Beyoncé and NAACP for your generosity and being a beacon of light in such dark times.
