Deacon Phillippe Releases New Song, ‘Long Run,’ Reese Witherspoon Jokes About Making TikTok Video
Reese Witherspoon was ecstatic when her sixteen-year-old son, Deacon Reese Phillippe, played her his first-ever produced music track, “Long Run.”
On July 11, the Legally Blonde and Big Little Lies star, Reese Witherspoon, had a very 21st-century mom reaction to “Long Run.” Witherspoon danced and smiled at her son’s first song. Soon after, however, she announced that she should make a TikTok dance to the song. Deacon Phillippe immediately covered his face with his hands and seemed as if he was not particularly fond of that idea. Please take a look down below to see Witherspoon adoringly embarrass her son.

For his debut “Long Run,” Deacon Phillippe has collaborated with Nina Nesbitt, a 26-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter. We only hear Nesbitt’s voice, while Phillippe acts as a music producer and a composer for “Long Run.” His art form is similar to that of artists like Marshmello, Kygo, and Calvin Harris.
The new fans also began to speculate that “Long Run” will not be Phillippe’s only song for a long time. On July 1, Nesbitt posted a short video, in which she is dressed in all white and wears a piece of white paper around her torso that says “new song this month.” When she turns around, another paper reads, “maybe 2?” Finally, she holds up a third paper that says, “bangers only.” We certainly hope in the future to see Phillippe collaborate with Nesbitt on more songs.
Witherspoon has a good reason to be proud of her son. In only a couple of days, the track has accumulated almost 200,000 views on YouTube, and it has an almost addictive summer beat.
“Long Run” almost guarantees to bring you into a happy summer mood and, most of all, keep you safe in the comfort of your home. Stream it now on YouTube or Spotify.
