James McAvoy Shows His Goofy Side in His Homemade ‘Star Trek’ Spoof, ‘Star Force: Sci-Fisolation’
James McAvoy, Caitriona Balfe, Steven Cree, and more take working from home to a whole new level in a parody that can help cure self-isolation blues.
Working from home can mean different things to different people. For a group of dexterous and accomplished actors, self-isolation includes exploring creativity with household objects to deliver a storyline that is reminiscent of Star Trek, but with a little more razzle-dazzle. Scottish brothers Kevin and Ross Mains found themselves on a zoom call during the outbreak of the global pandemic and co-wrote the story. Ross Mains shared the story with his friend, who he met on the set of Outlander, Steven Cree, who then went on to share the storyline with his good friend, James McAvoy. Soon after, the world was introduced to Star Force.
In the first installment, James McAvoy is Captain of Star Force and has gone missing. Second Commander Kayt, played by Caitriona Balfe, along with the rest of the crew find their captain after discovering his evil clone. The first installment garnered over 700 thousand views since it’s premiere in May.

It’s nice to see that our favorite actors can still be creative and entertain us, even without grandiose budgets. If you are curious to see if the captain faces off with his evil clone, you can watch Star Force 2 here.
