Tyra Banks is set to replace Tom Bergeron is Season 29 of Dancing With the Stars

After the announcement that Tom Bergeron along with co-host Erin Andrews will no longer host Dancing With the Stars, the question crept in. Who would be hosting America’s favorite ballroom competition?

Not long after the news of Bergeron’s exist, it was revealed that The Americas Next Top Model star, Tyra Banks, will be hosting the show from here on out.

“I’ve been a fan of DWTS since its beginning … The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances … it’s always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk,” said Banks. “Tom has set a powerful stage, and I’m excited to continue the legacy and put on my executive producer and hosting hats.”

For fans who have stuck around with Bergeron for the last 15 years, they have nothing to worry about. Bank’s has a large variety of hosting experience, from a season of Americas Next Top Model, two seasons of Americas Got Talent, and five seasons of the talk show, The Tyra Banks Show.

Valerie Bruce, BBC Studios’ general manager of L.A. Productions, said, “Tyra Banks is an icon whose powerful presence, trademark confidence, and industry-leading achievements inspire us. We are proud to partner with ABC to welcome her as the new host of Dancing with the Stars. This represents a landmark moment in our 28 seasons producing Dancing with the Stars as we take this iconic show in a new creative direction. We offer our sincere thanks to Tom and Erin, whom we will always consider part of the Dancing with the Stars family.”

Fans can expect to see Banks host DWTS on Monday nights this upcoming fall.
