Models Kaia Gerber and Cara Delevingne Participate in Black Lives Matter Protest in Los Angeles
The fashion icons attended a protest in downtown Los Angeles to support the Black community and their movement.
This past Wednesday, a Black Lives Matter protest was held in downtown Los Angeles outside of the Hall Of Justice. Hundreds of supporters and allies of the Black community showed up, and among those people were models Kaia Gerber and Cara Delevingne.

Both stars documented their experience at the rally on social media. Cara took to Instagram to post a video of singer Marieme performing, and Kaia shared a video of actor and activist Kendrick Sampson speaking to the crowd on her Instagram story.
This may be the first time Kaia and Cara have attended a protest together, but it isn’t the first time they’ve attended a protest individually. Both models have been active supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement since the beginning of its resurgence and have attended demonstrations held in response to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and others.
The two have also been amplifying the voices of the Black community by spotlighting leaders and resources on their social media accounts. Kaia had BLM International Ambassador Janaya Future Khan take over her Instagram to talk about how to be your best self, and reclaim your story, even when it’s hard. In the caption of the posted video, Kaia encouraged her fans to “watch and turn up [their] volume” because “this message is important.”
We are so proud of Kaia and Cara for using their followings to spread information and awareness about Black Lives Matter, and we hope their activism inspires other influencers to continue to do the same.
