Listen to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s New Song ‘Happy Anywhere’
Couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have teamed up to release a new song, “Happy Anywhere.”
The time is finally here. Blake Shelton and partner Gwen Stefani have worked together to release a new song called “Happy Anywhere.” The song, inspired by being together during quarantine, was announced on Monday, July 20. The couple is set to perform their new hit for the first time on the Today Show’s 2020 Citi Music Series later today.
“We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around. That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer — and this entire year,” Shelton said in a press release.
The chorus sings, “I’m running wide open / I was born with my feet in motion / But since I met you, I swear / I could be happy anywhere / Any map dot location / You’re always my destination / You’re the only thing that I’m chained to / I could be happy anywhere / I could be happy anywhere with you.”
Speaking on the meaning of the lyrics, Shelton explained in a press release that the song is about being stuck in quarantine with someone you “really love and enjoy being around.” Shelton says he and Stefani have been together for the summer as well as the entire year.
“This year, man, there’s never been a better time for ‘Happy Anywhere,'” said the “God’s Country” singer.
The feel-good tune is a follow-up to their last duet and single, “Nobody But You.” Click below to check out their new release “Happy Anywhere.”
