Katy Perry Announces the Delay of Her Upcoming Album ‘Smile’
On July 27, Katy Perry posted a heart filled message on all her social media platforms discussing the delay of her upcoming album, Smile.
Grammy award nominee, Katy Perry, has poured her life into her music for over a decade. With the announcement of her upcoming studio album Smile, its clear Perry has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
So far, Perry has released four tracks from the album including “Never Really Over,” “Harleys in Hawaii,” “Daisies,” and most recently, “Smile.”
Perry recently announced the album will be delayed until August 28 due to production issues. Although Perry dreaded telling the news to her fans, the Katy Kats, all understood and told Perry to take as much time as she needed.
Welp. I hate to throw this bad news at you like a pie in the face…but if there’s anything 2020 taught me, it’s to not get too attached to plans and be malleable.

To make it up to fans, Perry will be hosting an Instagram live every Sunday for 30 minutes to discuss the upcoming album. Perry also announced she plans on playing a few snippets of unreleased music from the upcoming album and will be talking about a variety of things on live.
