Millie Bobby Brown Is Set to Star as a Sleuthing Con-Artist in the Upcoming Netflix Film, ‘The Girls I’ve Been’
Millie Bobby Brown has already amassed an impressive list of acting credits and she’s set to perform another eclectic role in the upcoming film, The Girls I’ve Been.
The film will be Netflix’s adaption of Tess Sharpe’s forthcoming novel of the same name, following Brown as a young con-artist who must use[s] her powers of persuasion & impersonation to free herself, her girlfriend & ex-boyfriend from a bank hostage situation.” While the film’s details have been kept under wraps so far, it’s a description promising gripping, high-octane drama.

Sadly, Sharpe’s novel isn’t due for publication until January 2021 so we might have to wait a while before its Hollywood debut. Regardless, Twitter has still gone into a frenzy over the news. The film has also drawn praise for spotlighting a bisexual relationship, with many people welcoming a storyline that will help advance the on-screen representation of the LGBTQ+ community.
Millie’s been sticking to a busy schedule despite coronavirus, teasing the September release of Enola Holmes, where she’ll don Sherlock’s infamous deerstalker hat to become Holme’s younger sister. And if that wasn’t enough, the Stranger Things star will be also sitting alongside Jason Bateman as co-producer of The Girls I’ve Been when filming begins.
