July 30, A$AP Ferg dropped his new song “Move Ya Hips,” featuring Nicki Minaj which, instantly climbed the iTunes chart.
Nicki Minaj and A$AP Ferg have previously worked together on a collaboration with the song “Plain Jane.” Although that song was a remix Minaj hopped on, making “Move Ya Hips,” making this their first official release together. The song “Plain Jane” ended up peaking at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on January 13, 2018.
Before the release of the song “Move Ya Hips,” Minaj teased fans letting them know the song might be released on Thursday. After a few days of waiting, the song has finally been released and fans are in love with it.

After the release of the song, Nicki Minaj started trending in the top five of worldwide Twitter with over 100,000 tweets. Most tweets consisted of fans using the hashtag, #MoveYaHips, and #NickiMinaj to let her know what their favorite verse from the song was.

As if trending on Twitter wasn’t enough, shortly after the release of the song, it started gaining a large number of sales and has entered the iTunes chart at number two. This was accomplished within a few hours of the song’s release.
