Exciting news for The Weeknd fans, the singer is performing in the first-ever augmented reality concert experience on TikTok.

Fans now have the opportunity to interact with the “Blinding Lights” singer. TikTok and The Weeknd will present The Weeknd Experience, the virtual event will take place on TikTok Live stream on August 7 at 8:30 pm ET. The singer will appear in digital form and play music from his number one album, After Hours.

The singer shared pictures on Instagram of what the concert experience will look like, and fans are anxiously waiting for the debut. The concert will be TikTok’s first-ever augmented reality experience. The event will feature 3D visuals, and viewers will be able to interact in real-time during the broadcast on the live stream. While this is the first collaboration with the streaming service, they are no stranger to the singer. His number one hit “Blinding Lights” became the inspiration behind the #BlindingLightsChallenge, and currently has over a million videos on the platform.

The Weeknd Experience will raise money for the Equal Justice Initiative. Fans can donate directly from the TikTok app before and during the concert. Also, TikTok will allow viewers to buy exclusive merchandise inspired by The Weeknd Experience, which is available from August 6-10, and proceeds from sales will also be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative.
