Zendaya received an Emmy nomination for her lead role as Rue in HBO’s hit series Euphoria.

From Reese Witherspoon to Janelle Monáe, people can’t stop talking about Zendaya’s big news. On July 28, Television Academy announced Zendaya’s nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the 2020 Emmy Awards.

This is Zendaya’s first Emmy nomination, and her Twitter fans are thrilled. Thousands have commented and retweeted to congratulate Zendaya, and others are clamoring for hints about the much-anticipated second season of Euphoria

Celebrities have also reached out to congratulate Zendaya. Chloe X Halle tweeted that the Emmy nominations were “the best news,” and Janelle Monáe hinted she was “beyond” proud of Zendaya’s accomplishment.

Always gracious on social media, Zendaya tweeted to share her delight and gratitude for the recognition. Zendaya was “honestly speechless” when she received the nomination and felt that her heart was “overflowing with love.” She thanked the collaborators that helped Euphoria succeed, including HBO, A24, and anyone who watched the show.

Euphoria received several other Emmy nominations outside of Zendaya’s nod for best drama actress. The series has been recognized for Outstanding Music Composition, Outstanding Contemporary Costumes, Outstanding Contemporary Makeup, Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Outstanding Music Supervision.

If you haven’t watched it yet, stream the first season of Euphoria on HBO. If you fall in love with Rue and Euphoria like so many others have, be sure to watch the Emmys on September 20 to support Zendaya and the Euphoria team.
