Stephanie Meyer Wrote the Sweetest Note to ‘Twilight’ Fans and It’s Guaranteed to Make You Smile
Stephanie Meyer, the bestselling author of the Twilight series, just released a new book and dedicated it to the millions of fans around the globe.
Whether you were a fan or not, Twilight caused a moment in pop culture that nobody will ever forget.
The vampire vs. werewolf themed book-turned-movie series became a cultural phenomenon that shot Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner into a new level of superstardom.
Now, 12 years after Breaking Dawn, the final installment of the series, was released, the author has dropped Midnight Sun.
Midnight Sun is a mirrored reflection of the first Twilight book. The same story is told from vampire Edward Cullen’s point-of-view, as opposed to high schooler Bella Swan’s.

Fans have waited patiently for this book to come out, as they would not only do anything for a revival of the franchise, but they would love to find out more about the inner workings of their favorite vampire.
In 2008, at the height of Twilight’s success, an unfinished manuscript for Midnight Sun written by Stephanie Meyer was leaked illegally onto the Internet.
Her work, her story, and her writing process were compromised due to the leak, so she put the manuscript aside and explained that because fans were unfair and greedy, she would put the book on hold indefinitely – until now.
As soon as midnight hit on August 4, people’s pre-ordered copies of the book were downloaded onto their e-reader compatible devices and they were able to start reading right away. Although, a note at the beginning of the 672-page novel stopped fans right in their tracks.

“This book is dedicated to all the readers who have been such a happy part of my life for the last fifteen years,” Meyer wrote to open Midnight Sun.
She continues, writing, “when we first met, many of you were young teenagers with bright, beautiful eyes full of dreams for the future. I hope that in the years that have passed, you’ve all found your dreams and that the reality of them was even better than you’d hoped.”
Even after the leaked manuscript incident, Midnight Sun has been released, and is, essentially, dedicated to the fans directly from Meyer herself.
It’s heartwarming to hear your favorite author thank you for sticking by them and their writing for many years, especially when their work is a long time coming.
