Sarah Paulson Set to Star in New Netflix Thriller ‘Ratched’
The horror series connoisseur will have the leading role in the new Netflix series set to be released at the end of the summer.
Sarah Paulson is known for starring in thriller series and films, so the news of her being in the new Netflix show doesn’t come as much of a surprise for many fans. Known for her roles in American Horror Story, Glass, and Bird Box, the actress is no rookie to both the big and small screens.
Ratched is a revamped adaptation of the 1975 film, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Paulson is set to play Mildred Ratched, also called Nurse Ratched. Nurse Ratched is in charge of a mental institution, similar to the second season of American Horror Story: Asylum, which Paulson also starred in. The show takes place in 1947 and Nurse Ratched is a sweet psychiatric nurse turned sour as she threatens to harm any patients who refuse to comply with her orders.
OMG! This looks incredible… What a great idea–take Nurse #Ratched from Cuckoo’s Nest and tell us how she got there… This is the @Netflix programming I didn’t know I needed. (And, I’m sorry, but she looks so much like Joan Crawford here I can’t sit still. 😍)
