The Weeknd Releases Posthumous Collaboration With the Late Juice WRLD
The stars’ collab dropped at midnight, Friday, Aug. 7 on all streaming platforms, after The Weeknd announced the single on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The Weeknd excited fans after he announced on Tuesday that he would be featured on a new single with the late rapper, Juice WRLD. The new song called “Smile,” features the Weeknd on the hook and opens with the rapper saying, “I’d do anything in my power to see you just smile.”
The song comes almost a month after Juice WRLD’s first posthumous album Legends Never Die was released, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard top 200 albums chart. Both Juice WRLD and The Weeknd reminisce on a past love and long to be by their lovers’ sides.

Emotional reactions have poured in from fans of the rapper after hearing the song. Fans express feeling happy to get new music from their favorite artist, but also sad to hear the rapper’s voice now that he’s gone.
