Mariah Carey Surprises Fans With the Release of ‘Anytime You Need a Friend’ (Soul Convention Remix) Music Video
In true Mariah fashion, she surprises fans with the music video for her song “Anytime You Need a Friend” (soul convention remix) more than 25 years after its initial release.
Back in 1993, Mariah Carey released her iconic album Music Box featuring smash hits like “Dreamlover,” “Hero,” “Anytime You Need a Friend,” and “Without You.” This has become one of Carey’s most successful albums of all time, and one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Music Box sold over 28 million copies worldwide becoming a diamond certified album. Not long after, Mariah went on to produce another diamond-certified album, Daydream.
Earlier this year, Carey promised fans she would be surprising them with a special treat every Friday in celebration of her upcoming 30th anniversary in the music industry.

This go around, Mariah decided to release the highly anticipated music video for “Anytime You Need a Friend,” in addition to releasing three EP’s. The first one titled Dreamlover EP, Never Forget You EP, and Anytime You Need a Friend featuring remixes of both songs along with some live performances.
