H.E.R. Wows at Virtual Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza was held virtually this year due to COVID-19, but that didn’t stop artists like H.E.R. and many others from showing up and showing out.
The annual four-day festival, typically held in Chicago, was shown exclusively live via YouTube from July 30th to August 2nd. Her fifteen-minute set began with the sunglass-sporting siren center stage with her electric guitar as she belted a sultry cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain” from the hit TV Show, Sons of Anarchy.
She then traded the electric ax for an acoustic guitar and flowed beautifully into the hit love song, “Best Part” with her duet partner R&B singer, Daniel Caeser.

H.E.R. just recently released her latest single, “Do To Me,“ in early July, which has already had success as a cool, summertime reggaeton smash. “Do To Me,” follows a more somber single, “I Can’t Breathe,” released by the songstress in June to address the death of Minnesotan, George Floyd, and the racial injustices faced in America.
H.E.R. was amongst many artists who came together to perform in support of Michelle Obama’s non-profit organization When We All Vote, and other community-based initiatives such as Arts for Illinois Relief Fund (AIRF) and the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI).
