Lizzo Captures First-Look Deal With Amazon Prime Video
The three-time Grammy winner has just signed a first-look television deal with Amazon Studios for new content being added to the streaming platform.
Lizzo will develop and have a first look at the up-and-coming content being added to Amazon Prime Video. The Amazon team is excited to see what she brings to the table. Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, stated in a comment that Lizzo “has such a unique perspective and [they’re] so excited to hear her ideas for new content that [the] Prime Video customers are sure to love.”
This is a “dream come true” for Lizzo and she can’t wait to “share [her] vision with the world,” she said in a statement.

Lizzo will join Viola Davis, Rachel Brosnahan, Daniel Dae Kim, Brad Pitt, and other creators at Amazon. Her phenomenal achievements she earned through her music along with her perspective on life will give her an edge on the innovative process. Aside from her musical career, Lizzo has already cracked open the door to acting. She was featured in the crime and comedic film Hustlers in 2019, playing the supporting role of Liz. That same year, she also had a voice role in the animated film UglyDolls, which included many other famous voices like Kelly Clarkston, Nick Jonas, Wanda Sykes, and Janelle Monáe.
Lizzo has a lot of great qualities to offer to Amazon and we know she will be a great addition to the team of creators.
