Selena Gomez and David Henrie Team up to Create a New Film Called, ‘This Is the Year,’ and It Looks Spectacular
Selena Gomez and David Henrie just announced that they made a film together called, This Is The Year, and it will premiere on August 28th.
The former Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars have teamed up to bring fans a feel-good film. This Is The Year follows the story of a highschool friend group who embark on a road trip to a major music festival finding unexpected love on the way. The movie aims to connect with the struggles of teenage years and give young people something to relate too. Henrie plays Sebastian as well as being the head writer and director of the film. Gomez is an executive producer of the film.
The cast includes Jake Short and Gregg Sulkin, both former Disney stars. Another extra notable face that we will see in the film is Henrie’s brother, Lorenzo Henrie. This Is The Year will have a live premiere event on August 28th with all tickets proceeds going to Plus1 COVID-19 Relief Fund. Famous TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D’amelio will be hosting the virtual event making fans even more excited.
